Apprentice Conductor Program

NUOVOCE is proud to invite emerging choral conductors to apply for our Apprentice Conductor Program.

Apprentices will have the opportunity to gain professional experience leading a high-level choir and receive mentorship throughout the choir season.
A bursary is available for those accepted.

Duties and Expectations

● Attend all rehearsals and concerts during the regular choir season (NUOVOCE meets from 6:30-9:00 PM on Monday evenings)

● Conduct select repertoire in rehearsals and concerts

● Participate as a performing member of the choir when not conducting

● Assist the Artistic Directors in leading warm-ups

● Receive regular feedback and instruction from the Artistic Directors

● Apprentices sign on for a one-year term with the possibility of a one-year renewal
